Facing stones are rectangular or square stone slabs that have a convex, roughly split structure on the outside and are cut to a thickness of at least 2 cm. The surfaces of the sides, top and bottom have a cut structure. The back can be both cut and roughly split. Surfaces that have been clad with facing stones have the appearance of a wall made of solid stone. In addition to facade cladding, these stones are also used indoors. Facing stones are made by manually chipping each slab with a specially designed tool, the striking iron. This creates an irregular structure that resembles natural rock. Large facing stones look wonderful on walls with a monumental character. Solid elements such as steps, stairs, columns and posts can also be faced.
Facing stones are an excellent choice for those who want to give their project a unique character while ensuring durability and aesthetics. Made of high-quality granite, facing stones are characterized by excellent technical parameters, such as impressive frost resistance and low water absorption. Their natural beauty blends perfectly with the surrounding environment and makes natural stone facades much more durable than those covered with decorative plaster.
Granite facing stones allow you to creatively highlight the entire masonry of your house or focus on selected fragments, creating unique architectural details. Extremely versatile, facing stones can also be used in the construction of fences or in the form of elegant fence posts. The installation process of granite slabs is similar to the standard rules for installing artificial stone, so there is no need to use expensive anchors, steel or aluminum scaffolding.
Due to the natural origin of the stone, ART GRANIT reserves the right for variations in the shade of the selected color, stone structure, and color palette, as well as potential efflorescence or rust, vein patterns, micro-cracks, and growths compared to reference photos, samples, or our products displayed on the website. These discrepancies are a natural phenomenon characteristic of materials shaped by nature and are not considered defects but rather proof of the authenticity of natural stone. Standing water in the applied layer may cause moisture stains, salt crystal efflorescence, or chipping of the stone during processing. The aforementioned properties are not considered defects or a reason to reject the material and cannot form the basis for complaints. No claims should be made regarding such deviations, as they are inherent characteristics of the material. The use of salt or similar agents is strictly prohibited. For installation, an appropriate adhesive for natural stone must be used, ensuring it does not penetrate the material. Natural stone can be effectively impregnated. For raw-split elements, tool marks, cut surfaces, and dimensional tolerances depending on the product size are visible. The cobblestones are available in commercial quality.
